About Chow King Grill & Buffet

Located at 2400 Cobb Pkwy SE, Smyrna, GA 30080, Chow King Grill & Buffet operates as a chinese buffet serving Smyrna in Georgia. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under grill, restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 am–9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (470) 308-3333. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. First time being here. I was a little nervous with some of the negative reviews, but the food and everything was clean and quite fresh and tasted great. To be fair, I came in a Saturday, so that might have had something to do with the freshness of food since more people come and they have too replenish the food faster, but it was all good. Probably the best Chow King I've been to out of the 3 or so I've been to in terms of food options and food quality.

I have not been to this place in almost 10 years. It used to be clean. I walked in and was met with that "roach smell". You know that smell of failed pesticides and moisture? Yeah that smell. I decided to stay and not be judgmental. So I paid upfront and proceeded to fix my plate. They guy at the front never acknowledged me until I asked about the price. Sat down with my plate and started eating this bland, greasy food. A server, older lady comes over looking confused and almost accusatory then she finally got out what she wanted to say... "Ticket?" She said. I pulled out my receipt and showed it to her. "You already pay?" Yes. A few minutes pass and the man from the front shows up nearby. She starts speaking their language to him and he speaks back and they both are looking at me as if I did something wrong. A few more times they creep around the corners looking at me as if I was going to stuff an egg roll in my pocket. To summarize, the food was barely eatable, the service made me feel unwelcomed and it smelled and looked unclean. I won't be back.

I’ve been here for at least 7 times. I’ve went recently and since the last time I went it has been about 8 months in between. When I walked in I was just disappointed. First, went to the bathroom and throughout the whole hallway before you even open the bathroom door it smelled like waste (I’m talking about #2), I don’t know if the plumbing is bad or what. Then when I went into the bathroom they had a cut up container behind the toilet to catch the leakage. I then wanted to take my whole family and go somewhere else. After that, from the time everyone sat down to the time we finished eating, one of the servers stood in a corner staring at us. We weren’t loud or disrespectful for her to feel like she had to keep an eye on us like that. Let me also add we’re the type of family where when we go places we present ourselves well, we dress clean and neat, nobody’s hair is all over the place, everybody’s shoes are clean etc. We’re just a normal family that lives in the suburbs outside of the ATL city. Lastly what got me was THE ROACH! I’m talking about a long adult house roach that was climbing up the wall. I said hell no! NEVER WILL I COME BACK HERE! This place has went down tremendou

First time here, went there for Thanksgiving to also celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. The server, Grace is really friendly and attentive. We are definitely going to be back.

The restaurant was clean, seating was spacious and quiet and the food area was constantly replenished. The food was fresh, but was lacking flavor. The broccoli chicken was wonderful. My husband had the ribs and they were tough and under seasoned.
